Hi, I’m Tina, a native Mandarin Speaker from Taiwan
I believe understanding a language through daily life is often more meaningful than simply memorizing grammar rules. For me, language learning is a gradual process—moving step by step from not understanding at all, to eventually finishing a novel. That sense of progress and joy is something I hope to share with others.
I enjoy helping people discover the beauty of the Chinese language, not only through words and sentences, but through sound, rhythm, and cultural context. I pay close attention to pronunciation and natural expression, and I value learning that feels calm, steady, and supportive.
I’m especially suitable for learners who prefer to take their time, care about pronunciation and language feel, and want to understand Chinese in a deeper, more intuitive way. My classes are a safe space to speak, make mistakes, and build confidence without pressure.

About the Class
I offer personalized Mandarin lessons designed around you—your goals, pace, and interests. Instead of following a rigid textbook, I adapt each class to what you want to learn and how you learn best, so Chinese feels practical, natural, and approachable.
I focus strongly on speaking and pronunciation, helping you get comfortable using Mandarin in real-life situations. Lessons often include everyday dialogues, simple role-play, and guided speaking practice, with clear explanations when needed. I also enjoy sharing cultural context, so you understand not only what to say, but why it’s said that way.
My teaching style is flexible and supportive. You’re encouraged to ask questions, try things out, and make mistakes in a relaxed environment. The goal is to build a steady connection with the language, rather than rushing or memorizing without understanding.

Beginner

Advanced
Conversation and discussion on topics such as culture, daily life, and social issues.
Additional Information
Class are half English and half Mandarin, adjusted to your level.
