I have spent over a decade working with students to develop clearer thinking, stronger academic writing, and greater confidence in expressing complex ideas in English. My teaching experience includes supporting students studying academically demanding programmes as well as learners who want to improve their ability to discuss sophisticated topics in English.
My academic background is in engineering, which has strongly shaped the way I approach teaching. Engineering trains you to analyse problems carefully, structure ideas logically, and communicate solutions clearly — skills that are equally important in essay writing, academic discussion, and critical thinking.
Alongside teaching, I have also worked in areas such as investment management and entrepreneurship. These experiences have given me a practical understanding of economics, business, and decision-making, which allows me to bring real-world perspectives into discussions with students. Many learners find that connecting academic subjects with real ideas and current affairs makes learning more engaging and meaningful.
In my lessons I aim to create a relaxed but intellectually stimulating environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas and asking questions. Rather than focusing on memorisation, I help students develop the ability to organise their thoughts, analyse arguments, and express themselves clearly.
Over the years I have worked with students from a variety of educational backgrounds, including those studying programmes such as IB and IGCSE, as well as younger secondary students building strong academic foundations. I also work with learners who want to improve their spoken English through thoughtful conversation on topics such as science, economics, philosophy, and current affairs.
My goal is not simply to help students improve academically, but to help them develop the intellectual confidence and clarity of thought that support lifelong learning.

My lessons are designed to help students develop clear thinking, strong academic writing, and confidence in expressing complex ideas in English. With over ten years of teaching experience, I support students in strengthening the intellectual skills required for demanding academic environments.
A central focus of my teaching is helping students organise their thinking and communicate ideas effectively. Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they have not yet developed strong habits of analysis, structured writing, and disciplined reasoning. My approach focuses on developing these foundations so students can approach their studies with greater clarity and confidence.
Lessons are highly personalised and adapted to the needs of each student. Depending on the student's goals, sessions may focus on essay writing, textual analysis, academic discussion, or strengthening reasoning across subjects such as English, science, economics, and current affairs. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and develop their own arguments rather than simply memorising information.
A typical session may involve analysing texts or ideas, discussing key concepts, practising structured writing, and reviewing how arguments can be organised more clearly and persuasively. The goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students develop stronger intellectual habits that support long-term learning.
These lessons are particularly suitable for students studying programmes such as IB or IGCSE, as well as younger secondary students who wish to build strong academic foundations before entering more demanding programmes.
