關於Evan
I’m Evan, a Master’s student in a dual-degree program between emlyon business school and Hong Kong Baptist University. Curious, passionate about languages, and driven by an international mindset, my journey into teaching truly began during my intensive Preparatory Class in Economics & Management. That experience showed me how understanding complex topics—whether language, culture, or economics—empowers us to make clearer, more informed decisions in our personal, professional, and civic lives.
Apart from my studies, I compete in triathlons, which keeps me disciplined, resilient, and continuously pushing my limits. I’m also deeply passionate about cooking, traveling, and staying informed on global affairs, architecture, and culture. Whether we are diving into business concepts, practicing everyday French or English conversation, or exploring current events, I bring that same energy, structure, and enthusiasm into every session to help you feel confident and reach your goals.

My Teaching Philosophy & Approach
I believe learning should be concrete, accessible, and useful. Rather than relying on dry theory, I use dynamic, real-world examples to make every session engaging and practical. Preparing for my future career in Human Resources has taught me active listening, adaptability, and how to tailor communication to each individual's unique learning style.
Course Flow & Structure
- Warm-up & Icebreaker: Every class begins with a relaxed open discussion to help you feel completely at ease speaking French right from the start.
- Core Interactive Module: Each session combines targeted vocabulary, practical grammar points and active conversation around topics you care about ranging from business, travel, and exam preparation to everyday topics like cooking, pop culture, games, and school life for younger learners.
- The "Idiom of the Day": As a golden rule in my classes, we explore one fun and authentic idiom per session to make your speech sound truly natural and native.
- Wrap-up & Takeaways: We conclude with a review of a personalized vocabulary list generated during the session, alongside light, optional exercises for next time (which we always review together at the start of the following class).
