Taiwanese Mandarin Private Tutor Hi, I’m Willie— a Mandarin tutor who believes language learning should feel natural, personal, and enjoyable. I aim to helping you guys build real confidence in speaking Chinese. Since studied TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in the UK, where I learned how to design lessons that truly fit each student’s goals and learning style. I’ve been learning English for many years, and I also studied abroad in the UK, where I majored in language teaching(TESOL). Because I’ve gone through the process of learning a foreign language myself, I truly understand how challenging — yet rewarding — it can be. The first month of lessons is free, because I believe it takes time for us to get to know each other and find the most suitable materials and teaching style for your level. If, after the first month, you feel that my lessons aren’t the right fit for you, please let me know — I won’t charge any fees. I truly believe that building trust and finding the right learning rhythm takes time. All classes are online, but if you prefer in-person lessons, please feel free to message me. In-person lessons are available only in the Taipei City area, as I’m currently based there. I chose online teaching because the weather in Taipei can be unpredictable, and I want you to be able to learn comfortably from your own home. Since I’ve studied English for many years, I can use English to help you understand Chinese more easily. More importantly, I understand what it feels like to learn a new language — and I’ll support you every step of the way. Before You Book a Lesson: • After the first free trial month, the lesson fee will be NT$650 (around USD $20) per hour. • If you’re interested, please send me a message to discuss available class times. • I use Zhuyin (ㄅㄆㄇㄈ) to teach pronunciation, because I believe Pinyin can sometimes be confusing for English speakers. • If you would like to have in-person lessons, please message me directly to discuss the details. Learning a new language takes patience, trust, and the right support — and I’d love to be part of your journey. If you’re ready to start learning Chinese in a relaxed and encouraging way, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
