About Me
Hi! I’m Yuchi from Taipei, Taiwan. I have both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, and I’ve been teaching Mandarin to international students for over five years. Over the years, I’ve learned how to make lessons practical, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs.
I am currently teaching at universities in Taiwan. I’ve also taught in the U.S., the Philippines, and at ACUCA, which gave me a wide variety of classroom experiences.
I’m cheerful, outgoing, and love chatting, traveling, and playing pickleball. And here’s a fun secret: I enjoy knitting! My easygoing personality helps me create a relaxed, lively, and interactive classroom atmosphere.
With my Master’s training, I’ve developed a systematic and critical approach to teaching. I can quickly understand your learning goals, design personalized lesson plans, spot difficulties as they arise, and adjust the pace of class so you get the most out of every session.

What I Offer
My lessons focus on practical, enjoyable, and effective ways to learn Chinese. I combine interactive speaking practice with creative techniques to help students pick up the language naturally. Courses include:
▷ Everyday Conversation: From absolute beginner to confident speaker, covering real-life scenarios. We use themed role-plays and dialogues, adding vocabulary and sentence patterns based on your level and interests, so you learn authentic Chinese that you can actually use.
▷ Structured Chinese Training: Start from scratch with lessons that combine grammar, speaking, and real-world application. Forget boring textbook drills—my approach builds a solid foundation while keeping learning lively and practical, especially for beginners.
▷ Reading & Comprehension: Tailored reading materials for your level and interests, including lifestyle topics and current events. Perfect for students who already speak some Chinese but want to strengthen comprehension and usage.
Level Highlights:
Beginner: Master pinyin and basic characters, practice everyday conversations, and gain confidence speaking Chinese.
Intermediate: Form complete sentences, explore workplace or cultural topics, refine pronunciation, and expand vocabulary.
Advanced: Discuss pop culture, internet slang, and social trends, mastering nuanced expressions in complex situations.
How I Work With Students:
Before Class: Design lessons based on your goals, interests, and level.
